Cathy Burgess founded The Burgess Collection in 2017, inspired by her endless affinity for luxury fashion and her love for Newport; a beautiful seaside city in Rhode Island.
Born and raised in Rhode Island, Cathy studied fashion and retail in Boston. She started her career as a fashion sales rep for high end women's clothing. Cathy realized her potential to create her own brand and began designing and curating a line that she loved and felt was missing in the industry. Today, The Burgess Collection can be found in stores across the country making women feel their best.
Designed for the modern woman, our collections embody timeless elegance through dresses, jackets, skirts, and knits with a refined European sensibility. Inspired by the coastal charm of Newport and the ease of Rhode Island summers, each piece is made to feel both polished and effortless.
